About
TechMedia Talk: A resource for the busy digital media executive
TechMedia Talk (www.techmediatalk.com) is intended to be a discussion forum on important topics and trends in the digital media industry. Going beyond reporting news and events, TechMedia Talk addresses broader strategic issues that have a bearing across different parts of the digital media value chain, business models and strategy levers.
TechMedia Talk is published by Sam Vasisht, a 20 year marketing veteran and digital media executive, and president of 2/1 TechMedia LLC, a strategy and marketing firm for digital media technology companies. With a background in all aspects of the value chain from codecs and semiconductor, to networking, devices, applications and services across broadband, wireless, and consumer electronics, he hopes to bring unique analysis within an increasingly complex value chain of online video.
Strategic Issues and Analysis:
TechMedia Talk intends to provide answers to questions that key decision makers ask in the course of navigating their business though an exceedingly complex industry landscape that continues to get more complex. (In fact, the idea for TechMedia Talk originated as a result of an FAQ (with ‘frequently’ being the operative word) that Sam started compiling based on common questions people were asking him - ‘frequently’. )
TechMedia Talk will also endeavor to periodically feature contributions from other notable industry leaders in order to bring you more comprehensive coverage.
With a forum for reader comments, we hope your opinions will further enrich covered topics and create a community for dialog and shared insights. While our goal is not to be a news summary destination – as many others provide this, often with commentary – we will provide a roundup of news updates from other such sites and news agencies.
Out of respect for your time, TechMedia Talk will cover issues requiring insight and discussion. If you’d like us to cover a particular topic that you think will benefit readers, or would like to brief us about your company, please see our Briefings page, or contact us.
TechMedia Talk updates can be received through our website (www.TechMediaTalk.com), through free Email updates, or through subscribing to our RSS feeds.
